Could an ancient Ayurvedic practice boost your modern dental care? This clinical trial investigated the power of Arimedadi oil pulling as an adjunct treatment for plaque-induced gingivitis. Results confirm that Arimedadi oil pulling is an effective alternative to standard care (scaling and root planing), significantly improving clinical parameters like bleeding and plaque scores. While chlorhexidine showed superior reduction in the inflammatory marker PGE2, this study validates oil pulling as a valuable, natural tool to maintain optimal oral hygiene.
